African Study Monographs (ASM) has been widely read by researchers in Japan and abroad as the leading academic journal in African Studies since its inception in 1981. It publishes regular and special issues (Supplementary Issues). In recent years, all articles have been made open access in principle, and those accepted articles are immediately published on the Internet. And a manuscript is reviewed by single-blind peer review, so the author’s name is informed the reviewers.
